~ These are quite whimsical and I like the lilac with leather theme. I wanted to add a quick note about the name of the company “Buttero”. Butteri are Italian cowboys. They are region specific to the Maremma which spans the border between Toscana and Lazio in central Italy. This is the same area that the famous “Fiorentina” steak comes from and has some of the most beautifully worked leather in the country thanks in no small part to the work of these men. I used to go to the region every summer during High School and College to volunteer on archeological digs since it is Etruscan territory and full of burial grounds. We encountered butteri every day on our hikes up into the inhospitable hills as they moved their cattle to different grazing areas and would show them the areas we were digging so that they could steer the cattle away and avoid them falling inside the tombs. They were always gruff, but in a pleasant way. Weathered men with a tough job. Thanks to them you can still get some of the finest leather around. Always makes you appreciate fine quality hand made leather products when you know what went into making them.
